JD Sports (King of Trainers)

The website I am going to analyse is JD Sports. JD sport’s website contains a lot of links/tabs which you click on to navigate to another page/category. The website’s homepage contains their logo which are the letters JD. They have also displayed all of their offer and best deals and the new items that they have to offer. These offers and images are displayed large so they are eye catching and visible to the viewer.  The text is bold and stands out a lot as the website have used different fonts for different things to keep the viewer attention. The fonts are very unique and appealing.

The feel this website creates is very different however from reading and seeing the website, it feels like something out of a marvel comic novel because in marvel comics, the text and pictures stand out the most and look the best, they are there to blind your eyes and make you say “WOW”, same as the website the factors they display are bright, colourful and stand out a lot.

The website has a balanced composition as the layout of the website is equal on both sides. The colours used are very eye catching and cannot be missed, they are unique and stand out a lot. The website contain a range of colours, so one colour doesn’t really dominate the page however the logo which is displayed in black and white and at the top of the web page dominates the header and footer because on each the header and footer stays the same, just black and white.

Choice

Choice’s website is very simple and basic but very graphical. It’s simple in terms of its appearance and its use. The website contains a few links and tabs but a range of things to click on from the drop down menus. The logo is very simple, it’s the word “CHOICE”. This is displayed very clearly at the top of the website, it is presented in a unique font and is very eye catching. The website has the shops latest offers displayed and brands that have new styles of clothes for example Stone Island is displayed due that have new jackets in store and DKNY is displayed due to advertise their new handbags.

The website is very simple however it feels classy. This is because everything on the website is very neatly done and they haven’t really used bright colours. The font is simple and of same size and isn’t just all over the place. Everything is the same proportion and not of different sizes.

This website also has a balanced composition as everything on the website is of same level. The layout again is equal on both sides. The colours used are not of the brightest and are not that eye catching however they fit the feel of the website. The website uses mainly grey, navy and black and other colours used for little details. These colours fit well together and have great strong chemistry.

House of Fraser

This website is very similar to JD’S website as they have displayed their best offers and deals. The website contains a lot of links and tabs that navigate you to different pages and is quite simple to use. The Logo of House of Fraser which is their name is displayed at the top very clearly which stands out. The font used on the website is neat and simple but its eye catching and very visible. The website have displayed boxes which people can click of things most viewers want to see which is the sale section and the latest stock out this season.

The website is very simple but is bold and live. It stands out a lot. The feel you get from this website is the sense of trendiness and fashion because the display of the website is very bright as they have used colours that stand out. Another thing they have done same as the other websites I have analysed is that they have used colours which are opposite to each other in this case it is black with white writing.  This makes the text stand out and catch reader’s attention. One last thing is that this website contains is the recurring colour of pink. This is used nearly everywhere on the website in order to make the website stand out. The composition of the website is balanced as all the boxes are in level and not disordered. The layout of the website is very boxed and neat.
